The application of AI to enhance teaching effectiveness

 (Dong Nai) – On the afternoon of April 3rd, Lac Hong University conducted a specialized seminar on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and educational quality assessment at the Political School in Dong Nai Province. This event aimed to promote digital transformation in the education sector, with a focus on enhancing teaching quality and training management through modern technology.

AI in teaching: Reducing workload, enhancing efficiency

During the seminar, representatives from Lac Hong University emphasized the practical applications of AI, particularly ChatGPT, in teaching activities, including: developing lesson plans, preparing lectures, designing presentations (PowerPoint), creating exam questions, grading essays, and various other academic or professional tasks.

• Lesson Planning: AI can assist educators in designing personalized learning plans that cater to the individual needs of students.
• Lecture Preparation: Efficiently creating engaging and comprehensive course materials.
• Presentation Design (PowerPoint): Supporting the creation of visually appealing and impactful presentations.
• Exam Question Generation: Developing diverse and relevant test questions.
• Essay Grading: Objectively and rapidly evaluating assignments, providing detailed feedback to students.

Other Professional Tasks: Supporting numerous administrative and academic duties, minimizing time expenditure and maximizing productivity for faculty and staff.

According to the representatives from Lac Hong University, AI-powered teaching tools not only reduce the workload for instructors but also significantly improve the quality of education. By automating time-consuming tasks, AI enables educators to concentrate on creating more interactive and engaging learning experiences for students. Furthermore, AI facilitates the personalization of learning content, ensuring that students receive support and challenges tailored to their individual needs. AI also supports more accurate and objective assessment of student competencies, providing valuable insights into student progress and areas for improvement.

Towards long-term collaboration in technology application

Recognizing the potential of AI to revolutionize education, representatives from the Political School in Dong Nai Province expressed their desire to continue collaborating and connecting with Lac Hong University to conduct additional seminars on the application of information technology in the management and operation of school departments. This aims to foster numerous cooperative opportunities between the two institutions in the application of modern technology and the promotion of excellence in education and training management.

Contributing to the concretization of the Digital Transformation Strategy

This activity is part of a series of exchange programs on information technology application and digital transformation in the education and training sector, facilitated by the Department of Science and Technology. It thereby contributes to the gradual realization of the objectives outlined in the Provincial Party Committee's Plan No. 433-KH/TU and the Provincial People's Committee's Plan No. 92/KH-UBND regarding the implementation of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation within the province.
