LHU lecturers participated in the 5th AsiaPharmV

From August 16 to 18, 2023, five lecturers of the Faculty of Pharmacy, LHU attended and reported at the 5th Asia Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences - AsiaPharmV which was co-organized by Ton Duc Thang University, Seoul National University (Korea), Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia) with the theme "Progress and Achievement in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biomedicine". AsiaPharmV is an international scientific conference that provides a great opportunity to connect experts and researchers from different fields related to pharmaceutical sciences.

AsiaPharmV aims to exchange knowledge, address challenges, facilitate innovation, and promote collaboration in domestic and international pharmaceutical sciences. Various activities took place during the conference, including plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, exhibitions, networking events,... Through these activities, participants can learn about the latest research findings and trends in pharmaceutical sciences and extend their network.

The five lecturers of LHU included MPharm. Tran Khanh Duy, MPharm. Nguyen Le Anh Tuan, MPharm. Tran Thi Huong, MPharm. Ngo Thi My Duyen and MPharm. Huynh Van Thong. They presented 6 research topics at the conference including "Determination of vitamin C in multivitamin gummy candies for children by HPLC - PDA method"; "Identification of eleven medicinal herbs in the capsule product treating thrombosis, angina by thin layer chromatography method", "Discovery of natural interleukin 36γ small molecule inhibitors by pharmacophore screening, docking analysis, ADMET prediction, and molecular dynamics simulations", "Inappropriate prescribing of antipsychotic drugs in elderly patients at central psychiatry hospital using STOPP/START criteria index", "Optimize steam distillation extraction and make care-hair gel with Citrus maxima peel essential oil", and "Preparation of mesoporous silica nanoparticles". These topics have been published on the conference proceedings.
