"Rambutan Fairy" Project wins Consolation prize at SV Startup 2024

The project "Rambutan Fairy" carried out by a group of students from the Faculty of Administration and International Economics, LHU excellently won the Consolation prize at the 6th National Student Startup Day (SV Startup 2024) held on May 12 and 13, 2024 by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Can Tho provincial People's Committee and Can Tho University.

The SV Startup 2024 aims to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. Four months after launch, from more than 700 entries from students from universities, colleges, intermediate schools, junior and high schools across the country, the Organizers selected 80 best projects for the voting round and the final round. 

The Contest consists of 5 fields: Industry, product manufacturing; Agriculture, forestry and fishery; Education, tourism, services, finance; Medical, health care, beauty technology; Business creating social impact.

At the closing awards ceremony, the Organizers awarded more than 80 prizes to excellent projects developed by students and pupils including 10 First, 20 Second, 30 Third and 20 Consolation prizes and many other sub-prizes.

The "Rambutan Fairy"project was implemented by a group of students including Pham Thi Vo Hong Dieu, Vo Thi Hong Cuc, Tran Thi Thanh Tuyen, Nguyen Nhu Quynh and Pham Minh Tan and mentored by Dr. Nguyen Van Tan - Dean of the Faculty of Administration and International Economics.

With a unique and creative idea of roasting and drying rambutan seeds, Rambutan Fairy has created a distinctive and attractive food. Being recognized as a potential project, it not only brings high economic value but also preserves the natural flavor and nutrients of rambutan seeds, at the same time, contributing to sustainable agricultural development and creating jobs for the community. Besides a certificate of merit, the student group received a bonus worth 5,000,000 VND.
