Duong Huynh Bao Tran, a student of class 22DH113, majoring in Korean Studies at LHU and a learner at the Bien Hoa - LHU King Sejong Institute, won First prize at the 2025 King Sejong World Korean Writing Contest held on October 15, 2025, in Seoul, South Korea, in celebration of the 759th anniversary of the creation of Hangeul. The contest brought together around 120 contestants from nearly 90 countries worldwide.
With her great effort and outstanding performance, Bao Tran had earlier won First prize in the Korean Writing Contest during the Vietnam preliminary round last May. She has earned herself a ticket to participate in the Cultural Experience Week and the Final Round of the 2025 Korean Speaking and Writing Contest in Korea.

Among hundreds of outstanding essays filled with passion for the Korean language and culture, Bao Tran shone brightly - demonstrating the talent, intellect, and deep emotions of Vietnamese students on the international stage.
This outstanding achievement is not only a source of pride for the Korean Studies Department of LHU, but also a testament to the relentless efforts of young Vietnamese learners in their pursuit of knowledge and passion for cultural exchange.
