LHU robot teams advance to the Vietnam Robocon 2026 finals

LHU has proudly made its mark as both of its robot teams, LH-FOF and LH-IDS, officially secured spots among the Top 16 strongest teams nationwide, earning their places in the Vietnam Robocon 2026 Finals scheduled to take place from May 29 to May 31, 2026.

The achievement reflects not only months of research, testing, and continuous robot optimization, but also the creativity, technical confidence, and problem-solving abilities of LHU students in one of Vietnam’s largest engineering competitions.

From the early qualifying rounds, the two Lac Hong Robocon teams quickly attracted attention with their impressive performances. Both LH-FOF and LH-IDS successfully earned the prestigious “Kungfu Master” title - the competition’s highest recognition given to teams that complete the challenge exactly as required by the Organizers.

Among them, LH-FOF delivered an especially remarkable performance by achieving “Kungfu Master” in all three runs. The team’s standout result came with a completion time of just 63 seconds, highlighting the robot’s stable operation, fast processing capability, and effective strategic coordination. Meanwhile, LH-IDS also maintained strong consistency, earning the “Kungfu Master” title twice, including one successful run completed in 74 seconds.

These results demonstrate the teams’ serious preparation and adaptability in a season widely regarded as highly demanding in both strategy and automation. This year’s challenge requires robots not only to move quickly, but also to perform a series of interconnected tasks with high precision within a limited timeframe.

Behind the impressive numbers is the persistent effort of the student teams, who spent thousands of hours researching, testing, assembling, adjusting, and refining every technical detail. Long days inside the workshop, repeated modifications, and constant experimentation became part of the journey toward finding the most effective operating solution before entering the official competition arena.

With both teams advancing to the Top 16, LHU continues to maintain its reputation as one of the strongest competitors at Vietnam Robocon over the years.

Although the road ahead remains challenging, LH-FOF and LH-IDS have demonstrated the focus, determination, and thorough preparation needed for the final stage of the competition. The LHU community now looks forward to seeing both teams continue their strong performance and proudly represent the University at Vietnam Robocon 2026.
