The meeting focused on two areas directly related to university management and quality development: building, managing, and using databases; and implementing academic program accreditation under AUN-QA standards. Both areas emphasized the use of information and assessment results in practical activities, rather than simply meeting documentation and reporting requirements.

Maintaining connections and growing together through practical experience

The November 4 meeting continued the professional exchange between the two universities, following a meeting held at DTU on March 10, 2025. At that time, LHU led a seminar titled “Methods for measuring learning outcomes and Applying AI in teaching”, which was attended by more than 150 DTU lecturers.

Following the seminar, LHU transferred its technology for a learning outcome measurement system based on international quality standards to DTU. While the 2025 program focused on teaching activities and learning outcome assessment, the 2026 meeting expanded the discussion to data management, university rankings, and quality accreditation.

To prepare for its upcoming AUN-QA accreditation journey, DTU hopes to continue receiving experience and support from LHU. This continued cooperation shows how the exchange between the two universities has expanded from teaching activities to university administration and quality assurance across the entire university.

Addressing the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien – Rector of LHU, shared “To build the database infrastructure we have today, LHU started more than 20 years ago. All management systems are closely connected, and the database is fully secured by the University's in-house IT team. This has been an important foundation for LHU's current achievements. We should take things step by step. LHU is ready to share its experience and approaches, identify challenges, and work with DTU to find ways to improve its upcoming accreditation process”.

For LHU, maintaining professional exchanges with DTU is not only an opportunity to share accumulated experience but also a way to strengthen connections between the management teams and professional units of the two universities. From specific issues in teaching and assessment to university management and accreditation, their cooperation is reflected in sharing approaches, identifying challenges, and finding ways to improve.

This is also the long-term value of connections between higher education institutions: each shared experience can become a useful reference for new solutions, contributing to more effective university management and improved training quality at each institution.
