FEL PhD Candidates at the 11th International Conference on Linguistics & Language Education (Hue City)

In the context of constantly evolving global language education, participating in and contributing to international academic forums is key to enhancing the quality of training and professional research.

The Faculty of English Language (FEL) is proud of our 02 PhD candidates who represented our pioneering academic spirit by presenting their research at the 11th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research on Linguistics and Language Teaching at the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University! (September 27-28, 2025).

Their participation was more than just a presence; it provided concrete solutions to challenges in modern language teaching and research. We congratulate and honor our two outstanding representatives:

1. PhD Candidate Nguyễn Thị Khả Vi
Topic: “Translation strategies for proper names in fantasy literature: A case study in The Hobbit”
2. PhD Candidate Nguyễn Đức Duy Tân
Topic: “Embedded structures in IELTS reading: frequency and complexity”

The conference focused on "Global Trends and Innovation," with a particular emphasis on the role of AI and Digital Technology in language pedagogy. This was a golden opportunity for our PhD candidates to update their professional knowledge, expand their international academic networks, and learn advanced teaching models to apply to the FEL curriculum.

These research topics go beyond theory, offering high practical application that directly and effectively serves the teaching and learning quality for FEL students. The Faculty of English Language consistently serves as a solid launchpad, providing maximum support for our lecturers and PhD candidates to proactively seek and seize international academic opportunities.

Once again, congratulations to Ms. Khả Vi and Mr. Duy Tân for their persuasive presentations and for spreading the value of their research! This success is the strongest affirmation: our lecturers do not just teach a language; they research to optimize how languages are taught and learned in the new era.

We believe that with this academic spirit, our lecturers will continue to achieve success and inspire the entire FEL community to move forward!
