There is only a short time left before students leave the University and begin the real process of job searching. Yet, many students still struggle with the question: “What job will I do after graduation? Which career is suitable for me?” However, for Nguyen Van Tam – 19QT112 – and many students of the 2019 cohort of FAIE, they are very confident and assured about employment after graduation. Holding a bachelor’s degree in hand, they affirm that they possess sufficient competence and youth to contribute to enterprises.
“Competent” Students – Confident in “Paid” Internships
During his studies, Tam always strived to absorb the knowledge imparted by lecturers. In addition, he actively participated in programs and activities to enhance essential skills and knowledge, and received certificates from the Faculty and the University after participating in these activities. As a result, Tam accumulated the necessary knowledge and skills to serve his field trips and internships at organizations and enterprises. More fortunately, Tam and the group of students from class 19QT112 were accepted by Thien Phuc Hung Real Estate Investment and Development Company Limited for a “paid internship,” participated in professional training packages and special training programs at the company, and will soon officially work there.

Tam further shared: Students should participate in the Job Fair organized by the Faculty and the University, as it is considered a “golden” opportunity for new graduates who are struggling to find places to apply or looking for organizations for internships or part-time jobs to earn additional income. Even if you are not immediately successful in your application, it is certainly the best occasion to observe the recruitment market and understand how companies operate in the fields that interest you. In addition, the Job Fair provides opportunities to broaden perspectives and gain practical experience by listening to employers share insights. Thanks to this, you can draw lessons to improve your CV and directly apply to the company you desire. Most new graduates begin from internship positions or even as collaborators. However, some do not value these positions and frankly overlook them, believing they are not worthy of their abilities. Tam’s case was similar; initially, the company accepted him as an intern. Through his efforts, serious internship performance, and proficiency at work, the company transferred Tam to an official employee position with a basic salary of 5,400,000 VND. For a student who completed three months of internship at an enterprise and was smoothly promoted, received support from managers, accessed the company’s working culture, had a designated reading time for employees from 13:15 to 14:00 daily, and participated in many other meaningful activities, this is truly a fortunate and proud achievement, as his efforts were duly recognized.
Students’ Learning Outcomes Are the Top Priority of FAIE
It is known that not only Tam, but also students interning at enterprises such as Tam An Medical Construction Company Limited, Tacom Group Investment Consulting Company Limited, Dong Tien Valuation Joint Stock Company, HD Bank – Dong Nai Branch, and others, receive salary support and travel allowances during their internships. Students need to strive to accumulate as much experience as possible, especially work experience related to their chosen field. Even while still at university, students can engage in part-time jobs, internships at companies and organizations, and volunteer activities to broaden practical exposure and seize opportunities to practice and apply their knowledge and skills. To achieve this, students do not need to search for information on the internet or elsewhere, as the Faculty always maintains a list of recruiting enterprises and available part-time and full-time positions to support students when needed.

FAIE places students and quality as its top priorities, aiming to ensure that graduates secure employment without anxiety or prolonged job searching, and that during internships students feel comfortable interning at enterprises they desire and in positions they are passionate about. The Faculty proactively and regularly connects with enterprises in Dong Nai and neighboring provinces, and frequently surveys students’ needs and aspirations. From there, appropriate solutions and directions are identified to ensure students feel secure about their chosen major and career prospects after graduation, while also addressing enterprises’ human resource needs and dispelling notions such as “No recruitment of fresh graduates without experience” or “Unpaid internships.”
