On October 10 morning, 2024, the opening ceremony of pilot Korean classes for high school students in Dong Nai was held at Luong The Vinh Gifted High School by the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training, Visang Vietnam Education Company Limited, Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association and LHU.
Previously, the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training, LHU and Visang Vietnam Education Company Limited signed an agreement on the pilot teaching of Korean at high schools in Dong Nai. This program is supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam and the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of Dong Nai province.
After launch, nearly 300 students from high schools in Dong Nai have registered to participate in the program.
Providing Korean textbooks to students
Besides the first class opened at the Luong The Vinh Gifted High School, introductory Korean classes will be taught at Dau Giay High School on October 12 and 13, and online classes via Zoom will begin from October 14.

According to Dr. Huynh Thanh Binh - Member of the Central Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association of Dong Nai province, beside learning a foreign language, registered students will have the opportunity to learn about the culture, people and country of Korea, which is the gateway to a rich culture, a vibrant and creative country. He also expressed his hope that through Korean classes, students will see the value of learning a language other than English and the inspiration to learn foreign languages.

The demand for learning Korean has been rising and diverse for all ages and professions. Through Korean classes, it will contribute to spreading the beauty of Korean culture to students, workers nationwide in general and in Dong Nai in particular.
