The 7th Student Startup Competition, organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Training, aims to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among young people. It serves as a platform for students to showcase breakthrough startup ideas and develop sustainable business models that contribute to socio-economic development. The project “Production and Commercialization of Black Termite Mushroom” by Lac Hong University once again affirms the university’s strong position in this entrepreneurial arena.

The project was carried out by a group of students from the Faculty of Management – International Economics in collaboration with the Faculty of Food Science and Technology. With creativity and enthusiasm, the team developed a production model for black termite mushrooms, a valuable mushroom variety known for its high nutritional value and strong commercial potential. The project not only contributes to promoting the local economy but also addresses sustainable agricultural practices through modern production methods.
In this year’s competition, the team received dedicated support from mentors, including Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tân, an entrepreneurship training expert; Ms. Văn Thị Bích, the competition coordinator; Ms. Mai Hương Trà; and Mr. Lưu Ngọc Liêm. The guidance from lecturers and experts in agriculture and entrepreneurship helped the team refine and improve their business model from the idea stage to practical implementation.
Notably, this marks the fifth consecutive year that Lac Hong University has had a project advance to the final round of the SV_Startup competition, affirming the quality of its training programs and the creativity of its students. The enthusiastic support from mentors equipped the team with essential knowledge and skills, boosting their confidence in participating in the competition. With thorough preparation and strong team spirit, the project is expected to achieve promising results this year. Let us look forward to positive outcomes from the team and continue supporting the passionate entrepreneurial spirit of Lac Hong University students.
